girl on the go tester photos

It’s always a treat when we begin receiving completed questionnaires and photos from our team of pattern testers. It’s particularly thrilling when the feedback is overwhelmingly positive! This was certainly true for the Girl on the Go Dress + Top pattern. We always test across the full range of sizes, and I enjoy seeing the photos of the finished garments. However, there are usually a few tweaks we need to make before a pattern is ready to go to print, and testing helps me identify those areas so we can address any common queries or resolve issues that come up. In the case of the Girl on the Go pattern, though, our testers had very few concerns. There were a couple of things I wanted to refine, but overall, the testers were thrilled with their dresses and tops. While I don’t specifically request blog-quality photos, I know it can be helpful for you to see how the patterns look on a variety of sizes, ages, fabrics, and settings. I asked the testers if we could share their photos, and many agreed—such generosity! Jeanne and Robin have been testing for me for years, and they consistently deliver fantastic results. Jeanne juggles a demanding full-time job and an active family life, yet somehow she manages to sew both versions of the pattern and return her questionnaire early. She’s truly inspiring! Robin, on the other hand, approaches testing with fearless enthusiasm. She carefully considers her fabric choices and shoots questions my way as she dives into each project. Finding reliable testers is rare, and it’s even more special when they become friends like Jeanne and Robin. Here are some of the photos from our newer testers. Crystal created a charming version of the dress in size 8 with a color-blocked tie, which I absolutely adore. And then there’s the top Beth made in size 18 for her niece to ensure proper sizing. It’s always satisfying to see these creations being worn! Sarah stitched up a size 14 for her daughter. The neutral stripes look lovely, don’t they? Rebecca went with a size 8 and selected a beautiful floral fabric. Love it! Even though Deepika from PatternReview.com isn’t officially a tester, she sewed an early version of the dress to review for her site, so I thought it’d be nice to include her creation here. You can read her review here. So many variations! It’s fascinating to see the different fabrics everyone picked and how they styled them. I’m excited to see what you’ll do with this pattern! I hope you found this glimpse into the testing process insightful. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out. Happy sewing!
