girl on the go tester photos
When we begin receiving completed questionnaires and photos from our team of pattern testers, it’s always such a delightful experience. However, it’s particularly thrilling when the feedback is overwhelmingly positive. This was definitely the case with the Girl on the Go Dress + Top pattern. As usual, we test across the entire size range, and I absolutely love seeing the final garments come together in pictures. Of course, there are typically a few tweaks needed before a pattern is fully printer-ready, and the testing phase really helps me identify these areas so we can address common concerns or resolve any issues that arise.
In the case of the Girl on the Go pattern, though, our testers had very few questions for us. There were a couple of things I personally wanted to refine, but overall, the testers were extremely pleased with their creations. While I don’t specifically request blog-worthy photos from the testers, I understand how valuable it can be for readers to see the patterns on a variety of sizes, ages, fabrics, and settings. I reached out to a few of the testers asking if we could share their photos, and thankfully, most agreed. They’re incredibly generous people.
Jeanne and Robin have been testing for me for quite some time now, and they consistently deliver fantastic results. Jeanne juggles a demanding full-time job and an active family life, yet somehow manages to sew both versions of the pattern and send back her responses promptly. Honestly, I don’t know how she does it, but I’m grateful for her dedication. Robin, on the other hand, approaches testing with fearless enthusiasm. She carefully considers her fabric choices and sends her queries my way as she works through each project with great energy. Finding reliable testers is no easy feat, so I consider myself fortunate to not only have them but also call them friends.

We had several new testers this round, and here are a few of their creations. Crystal made an adorable version of the dress in size 8 with a color-blocked tie, which I absolutely adore.

Beth sewed the top in size 18 for her niece to ensure proper fit and sizing. It’s always exciting to see these garments brought to life!

Sarah created a size 14 for her daughter using neutral stripes. Don’t they look wonderful?

Rebecca went with a size 8 and picked out a beautiful floral fabric. I love how it turned out!

Although Deepika from PatternReview.com isn’t officially part of our testing team, she did sew an early version of the dress to review for her site. You can check out her review [here](link).

There’s such diversity in these versions, isn’t there? It’s fascinating to see the different fabrics everyone chose and how they styled them. I can’t wait to see what you all create with this pattern!
