On the morning of September 16, in the province's silk industry by the industry inspection standards and promotion on the site meeting, Tongxiang City officially released higher than the national standard "Tongxiang City Silk Industry Standard", the first batch of 20 companies signed a commitment to strictly enforce new standard.

At present, there are 359 silk production enterprises in the city with an annual output value of more than 2 billion yuan. Among them, there are more than 40 enterprises with annual output of 10,000 or more, accounting for nearly 50% of the same-sized enterprises in the country.

However, due to the simple production process and low barriers to entry, the city's silk industry still has phenomena such as shoddy and low-price and disorderly competition. How to make this industry get healthy and orderly development? According to Chen Guobin, director of the Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision of the city, in addition to measures such as building a big brand system, playing a role of an industry association, improving the administrative supervision mechanism, and strengthening guidance and support, it is essential to lay a solid foundation for technical standards.

Prior to this, the Municipal Quality Supervision Bureau organized the Tongxiang Silk Industry Association and the Provincial Wool Sweater Quality Inspection Center to formulate a mixed silk quilt union standard, setting the lowest “starting line” for silk products in the region and effectively controlling the silk The quality level of the product being used.

This year, the city also established the "Tongxiang Silk Industry Industry Alliance Standard" on the basis of previous standards. This standard puts forward higher requirements for enterprises in terms of production, storage and transportation. On the same day, 20 companies such as Tongxiang Zhouquan Qiang Si Mian Co., Ltd. solemnly promised to strictly implement the standard. It is reported that these 20 companies account for about 25% of the total output of Zhouquan silk industry. Chen Zhengyi, chairman of the Tongxiang Silk Industry Association, said: “These 20 large-scale enterprises are 'leaders' and hope that they will lead the industry with high quality and high specifications.”

Many business owners said that they will strictly enforce this standard.

As for the future of Tongxiang silk industry, Li Chuxia, director of the Zhejiang Fiber Inspection Bureau, put forward higher requirements: “The first is honest production, honest management, and good faith propaganda, and on the basis of bigger, create a brand that belongs to the company and strengthen at the same time.
