building block dress book tour: noodlehead
Happy Friday, everyone! We're right in the middle of the Building Block Dress book tour, and I hope you've been enjoying it so far. Today, I'm thrilled to introduce you to Anna from Noodlehead, who's joining us on the blog. Anna is an incredibly talented sewist and designer, and we couldn't be happier to have her here.

Anna recently created a beautiful tunic that she designed alongside her daughter. This project truly reflects their shared creativity and love for sewing. If you'd like to learn more about this wonderful piece and see additional stunning photos, head over to her blog post.

Hello, Oliver + S fans! I'm absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Building Block Dress book tour today. While I enjoy sewing all sorts of projects, creating clothes for my daughters remains one of my favorite activities. Natalie is now 10, and Emily is 8. When I first started blogging, Emily was just 1 year old, and Natalie was 3. Over these past seven years, I've found immense inspiration in Oliver + S patterns and the incredible sewing community they’ve built.

I met Leisl last spring at Quilt Market in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and it was such a pleasure to chat with her. Having grown up in Wisconsin, like me, she instantly felt like family. Leisl is not only incredibly down-to-earth but also deeply passionate about sewing and connecting with others.
One of the most rewarding parts of sewing for my kids is creating pieces that truly reflect their personalities and preferences. That’s exactly what happened with this tunic—every detail was chosen by my daughter, making it uniquely hers.
We'll continue the book tour on Monday, so enjoy your weekend!

As someone who loves both quilting and garment sewing, I often find myself drawing inspiration from various sources. Whether it's experimenting with fabric combinations or exploring new techniques, there’s always something exciting to discover. For instance, lately, I've been diving into the world of appliqué, adding intricate designs to some of my latest projects. It’s amazing how these small details can completely transform a piece.
In addition to sewing, I also enjoy sharing my journey through social media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest. These spaces allow me to connect with fellow crafters and exchange ideas. One thing I’ve learned is that no matter how experienced you are, there’s always room for growth and learning in the creative process.
Looking forward to seeing what’s next for the Building Block Dress book tour. Stay tuned!
