Cloth speed calculation method
When cooking and dyeing, the cloth is required to be lapped in 21⁄2 minutes. For this reason, when the cylinder is dropped, the workshop must be selected according to the cloth type, weight, and degree of closure.
Machine conditions, that is, a single line, are calculated as follows:
A. weight per code (oz) = 0.00082 × stereotype weight (g/m2) × degree of seal (inches)
B. Weight per tube (oz) = total pounds of falling cylinders × 16 tubes
The machine speed = B/2A (code/minute)
Remarks: General requirements A is less than 10 oz.

Example: 32 combed double-sided: Open edge setting 70"-72" Weight 220 g/m2, drop 2 tubes, total cloth weight 480 pounds
A. = 0.00082 × 220 × 71 (average) = 12.8 (oz)
B.=480×16÷2=3840 (oz)
Calculate the cloth speed immediately:
Travel speed=3840/(12.8*2)=150(yards/min)
Since A is greater than 10 oz and the line speed can reach 150 yards/minute, it should be lined up, and no line is required.
