In fact, the green color of the jade is affected by the four shades of blue, yellow, brown and gray, and the effect of brown and gray is the same, which can be seen as a factor. Pure green, after adding these tones, produces a variety of shades of green. The blue tint may be due to the high chromium content and iron content (and Ca, Mg content) in the chemical composition of jadeite, or may be caused by the occurrence of omphacite in the mineral composition; the yellow tint may be derived from secondary oxidation. According to these factors, the green of emerald can be divided into the following main types:

Bean Green: It is a slightly blueish green, such as the green color of peas, green and thick, and also a kind of pleasing green.

Melon green: deep blue-green, not only contains blue tones, but also contains gray tones of green, experts often say that it is blue, like blue-green loofah, so use this name. Compared with bean green, the gray component and the blue component are more obvious.

Dark green: It is green to dark green with more gray-brown ingredients, like the green of spinach leaves and the dark green of watermelon rind. The difference between it and melon is that it is dark and dark.

Oil green: It is grayish green, gray blue green, grayish brown green, and the difference with dark green is that the color tone is lighter and green is insufficient.
