Hongshan culture realistic animal-shaped jade

Hongshan culture is one of the earliest known cultures in the Neolithic archaeology in Northeast China. It was named after the excavation of the Hongshan post ruins in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia in 1935. The culture is mainly distributed in southeastern Inner Mongolia, western Liaoning and northern Hebei. A data for radiocarbon dating was corrected to approximately 3500 BC. Jade articles occupy an extremely important position in the rich heritage of Hongshan culture. The Hongshan culture jade is rich in variety and exquisitely crafted, representing the highest level of jade production in the prehistoric period of the Xiliao River Basin. As an independent jade system in prehistoric times in China, it is also known as the jade culture of the Taihu Lake Basin. It is also known as the two major sources of Chinese jade culture.

Compared with the previous period of Xinglongyu culture, the style of Hongshan culture jade is more colorful than the simple, monotonous style. The various shapes are mainly based on the physical objects of the source, tending to be realistic and slightly exaggerated. According to the current archaeological data, the shape of the Hongshan culture jade can be roughly divided into five types: geometric shape, tool shape, character shape, abstract animal shape, and realistic animal shape. Among them, the part of the geometric jade may be derived from the understanding of the natural phenomena of the heavens, the earth, the clouds, the sun, the moon and the stars by the ancestors of the Red Mountain. Most of them are rectangular, circular, cylindrical and other geometric shapes. Such jade articles include jade, scorpion, hoop, square hole hole, hook cloud jade, enamel, etc.; the rest should be derived from decorative themes, namely rings, beads, bracelets, tubes, curved plates and so on. The tool-shaped jade is derived from the production and life of the ancestors, and is a counterfeit of similar everyday practical tools, such as axe, scorpion, stick, hook and so on. The figure-shaped jade may be the creation of the image of the ancestor idol or the shaman shaman worshipped by the ancestors. This kind of instrument has some face-shaped jade ornaments and jade people. There are two types of abstract animal-shaped jade wares. One is a combination of geometric modeling and realistic animal modeling, such as jade pig dragon (including hook dragon), dragon head scull, pig head three-hole shape, etc. The class is created by highly abstract and exaggerated animal shapes, such as the toothed beast (bird) face jade, the "丫" shaped jade face. The realistic animal-shaped jade is a basic imitation of natural creatures such as birds, beasts, aquatic creatures, and insects. These jade articles mainly include jade, jade, jade turtle, jade fish, and jade.囿 囿 囿 篇 , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , 下面 下面 下面 下面 下面 下面
